I am working on a fourth book to be published in mid-2017 about how academics and organizational trainers can function in each other’s worlds. I’ve done presentations on this topic for ASTD, AAACE, OATYC, The Chair Academy, and several other groups. Since I’ve worked extensively in both academia and organizational training and development, I’ve been accumulating ideas on this topic for over twenty years. I’m now in the process of gathering interviews about the problems managers in each area have had as they bring new people on board.
